High-security welded mesh system
TOPSFENCE supplies a 358 anti climbing fence system built from dense 76.2 × 12.7 mm welded mesh to restrict handholds and tool access while preserving clear visibility across high-security perimeters.
Choose the security level
Each 358 anti climb mesh fencing order is configured around height, fixing method, topping and access requirements instead of treating every project as the same panel.
Most requested
Standard perimeter
For data centers, utilities, logistics yards and other controlled perimeter projects.
Enhanced perimeter
For sites requiring added height or support for barbed or razor wire topping.
Controlled access
Matching mesh gates coordinated with the fence height, post system and access opening.
Technical reference
These are common starting points. Final panel, post and fixing details should follow the approved project drawing and site conditions.
| Specification | Common options | Quotation note |
|---|---|---|
| Mesh opening | 76.2 × 12.7 mm 3 × 0.5 in |
The defining aperture of standard 358 security mesh. |
| Wire diameter | 4.0 mm, 4.5 mm project-specific options |
Confirmed together with panel height and required rigidity. |
| Panel height | 1.8, 2.0, 2.4, 3.0 m stacked systems available |
Taller systems require coordinated post and fixing design. |
| Panel width | 2.0, 2.2, 2.5 m custom widths |
Panel width must match post centres and fence-line drawings. |
| Post system | Square, rectangular, I-post base plate or embedded |
Post section follows height, wind, ground and foundation conditions. |
| Fixing system | Clamp bar, clips, brackets anti-tamper bolts |
Fixing quantity and spacing are listed against each panel height. |
| Surface finish | Hot-dip galvanized galvanized + powder coating PVC coated |
Specify environment, colour and expected service condition. |
| Security topping | Straight or crank extension barbed / razor wire support |
Subject to local project rules and approved perimeter design. |
System quotation
For each 358 anti climb fence project, the quotation can separate standard line sections, corners, gates, topping and spare hardware so the complete system is visible before production.
Standard, reinforced or stacked panels coordinated with the post centres.
Embedded or base-plated posts with caps, corner details and end conditions.
Continuous bars or bracket systems selected for the required security level.
Bolts, nuts and washers packed and labelled against the fixing schedule.
Straight or crank extensions prepared for approved topping arrangements.
Pedestrian and vehicle access coordinated with mesh, finish and fence height.
Surface protection
Colour alone is not the coating specification. Tell us the exposure, target service condition and project standard so the finish can be quoted correctly.
A practical corrosion-resistant finish for projects that do not require a coloured final surface.
A layered system for colour, appearance and added surface protection in outdoor environments.
Available where the project specification calls for a thicker polymer-coated surface.
Production control
Dense mesh makes uneven welding, distortion and coating gaps easier to notice. The inspection plan should follow the parts that affect installation and finished appearance.
Confirm wire diameter and mesh opening against the order specification.
Review weld intersections and remove sharp projections or damaged edges.
Check finished panels for bowing before coating and bundling.
Sample posts, clamp bars, brackets and bolts as one installation system.
Inspect intersections, edges and fixing zones after surface treatment.
Match bundle labels and hardware packages to the packing list.
Typical applications
358 mesh is normally considered where the perimeter needs physical delay, clear sightlines and controlled access without using a solid wall.
Visible boundaries around substations, equipment compounds and controlled technical sites.
A 358 anti climb prison fence provides dense mesh protection for high-risk and restricted perimeter zones.
Perimeter control for storage, loading and restricted operational areas.
Anti-vandal boundaries where surveillance visibility remains important.
Packing and loading
Panels, posts and small parts are packed differently. A clear packing schedule reduces missing hardware and makes unloading and installation easier to manage.
Panel bundles protected at contact points and strapped for handling.
Posts and clamp bars grouped by size or fence-line requirement.
Fixings and gate hardware boxed, labelled and counted separately.
Loading record with finished-goods and container-loading photos when required.
Get a useful first quote
Even partial information is useful. A drawing, bill of quantities or reference photo can reduce clarification time.
Include stacked sections if the perimeter is above standard panel height.
State the project standard or expected environmental exposure.
Provide straight runs, corners, slopes and changes in direction where known.
List pedestrian, single-leaf and double-leaf access requirements.
Confirm straight, cranked, barbed-wire or razor-wire support requirements.
Used to prepare packing and loading assumptions for the quotation.

Short answers to the details most often discussed during project screening.
The name refers to the traditional imperial specification: a 3 inch by 0.5 inch mesh opening with commonly used 8 gauge wire. The metric opening is approximately 76.2 × 12.7 mm.
Stacked systems are possible, but the best configuration depends on total height, post section, fixing rows, foundations and wind-load assumptions. The complete elevation should be reviewed before production.
Yes. The quotation can cover panels, line and corner posts, clamp bars, anti-tamper bolts, security toppings, pedestrian gates and vehicle gates.
Galvanizing plus powder coating is commonly considered, but the final coating specification should follow the project standard, exposure category and required service condition.
Panel height, wire diameter, post section, coating, gates, security topping, quantity, packing and destination all affect the quote. Send drawings or a BOQ when available so missing details can be listed as quotation assumptions.
